A visit to the hospital can be frightening for a young child, as well as for parents. The Pediatrics Unit at New York Hospital Queens offers personal, friendly and convenient medical care to children and adolescents.
Parents can also be sure that their children receive the most technologically advanced services in Queens. At New York Hospital Queens’ state-of-the-art facility – among the finest in the tri-state region – this unit cares for our youngest patients by offering the following:
- The Pediatric Inpatient Unit offers modern and comfortable patient care rooms and private consultation rooms, all designed to offer the sick child the most personal care possible.
- The Pediatric Emergency Room, for the treatment of acute illness and injury in children, can be reached at (718) 661-7307.
- The Pediatric Intensive Care Units provide the most advanced equipment, including cutting-edge monitoring equipment and five state-of-the-art intensive care beds, for the sickest children.
- The Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is for high-risk infants whose care needs cannot be met by a traditional neonatal unit.
- The Theresa Lang Children’s Ambulatory Care Center is a modern, spacious pediatric outpatient facility.
- The Pediatric Asthma Center offers a unique program of sophisticated testing, careful monitoring, continual care and a highly personalized treatment plan.
- The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition specializes in coordinated patient care by working closely with pediatric surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, speech therapists and nutritionists.
The board certified physicians and highly-skilled staff members of the Pediatrics Unit are specially trained in pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties. They are available around-the-clock to offer your child the high-quality care you’ve come to expect from New York Hospital Queens.

The Residency Program

The department of Pediatrics, through its integrated residency program, works with the teaching and research programs at the prestigious Weill Medical College of Cornell University and other medical and technical schools in the New York metropolitan area.
Through these partnerships, the Department of Pediatrics is staffed by some of the most highly qualified medical specialists in the area, sharing insights into the latest concepts in medical education and patient care.
