The Library is open to New York Hospital affiliates, staff, and patients and their families through arrangement with affiliated staff.

Hours

• Monday - Thursday 8 am - midnight
• Friday 8 am - 8 pm
• Saturday 10 am - 5 pm
• Sunday 10 am - 3 pm
• Closed Federal Holidays
• Temporary Hours Changes will be posted on Library door.

Books, Periodicals, and Audio/Visual

The Library subscribes to over 350 periodicals and holds over 6,000 textbooks, monographs, and audio/visual programs. Circulation, Computer use and Interlibrary loans are limited to NYHQ hospital staff and Attendings.

Copiers

Copiers are available. The charge for non-hospital personnel use is $0.15 per page.

Classes

Informal classes are offered to hospital personnel in Medline database searching and PowerPoint.

Interlibrary loan

For our hospital personnel, the Library can request books or periodicals not available at this library from other libraries through our consortial arrangements.

Newsletter

FYI is a quarterly newsletter published by the Health Education Library containing library news, searching hints, and information about new books, journals and videotapes that have been acquired by the Library. FYI also includes listings of books and articles newly published by the hospital staff.
